With recent development in Content Management Systems and more demand, the market has seen the entry of IT giants like Microsoft and Oracle Corporation into the market.
Web Content Management System (WCMS)
Web Content Management System comprises of software which are implemented as Web application for the management of documents on the web or internet. Such job includes management of HTML, DHTML or XML documents.
Most of the systems make use of database though not universal but restricted to particularised users. Artefacts and metadata are often stored in this system. All the contents are not stored in XML or HTML. Some of the works of the Web Content Management System are as follows:

The concept means that each component refers to particularised topics, assets or descriptions. Managing them before the formation of documents is CCMS.
