The marketing suite produced for Thurrock Learning Campus was focused on the concept of ‘opening a door’ of opportunity and taking the responsibility to walk through it or not. The initial campaign was aimed at a relatively young target audience and had to be engaging. The popularity of the web among young people makes it an ideal tool for marketing and a suitable vehicle was needed to drive users to the college website.
A simple vector door shape was created and pasted around the surrounding area of the college in life-size proportion. The website address was printed at the base of the ‘door’. It gave the campaign a three-dimensional aspect and engaged the target audience using a modern, visually stimulating method. It generated initial interest in the college and formed the basis for the rest of the marketing.
